Jeff Claflin, our Director of Construction, was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and a Minor in Business Administration. He has been working in Aspen since 2015 building a variety of different job types and working with owners to provide solutions that benefit all parties involved. Jeff has worked for large national companies such as Kiewit, Haselden, and PCL Construction which moved him to Aspen for the large-scale Aspen Club and Spa and Residences development project. Jeff has worked on other major development projects such as major City of Aspen infrastructure projects, the Exposition Line Light Rail Expansion in LA, and Steele Creek Denver. He has vast experience managing teams, quality, schedules, and cost budgets on projects, and always emphasizes the importance of doing things right for the greatest value-add on a project and individually. Jeff has incredible communication skills and work ethic that has been proven to be a major asset for the challenges of the construction and development industry. Jeff has been placed in high stress and complex situations and has always exceeded the challenge. He is rare for the construction industry with his mix of skill sets and education, high energy, healthy lifestyle and attitude, and he is the next generation of construction management. Jeff is highly relational with a tremendous desire for uncompromising honesty, integrity, and success for the project teams he is a part of with a goal to deliver the best process and product for all involved. Jeff lives in Aspen and serves in his local church, Crossroads Aspen, leading on the men’s Forge ministry and the churchwide ministry team. He enjoys playing basketball and many of the adventures Colorado has to offer including skiing, biking, and coaching basketball at Aspen High School.
